Kim Frates - Director
Kim graduated Cum Laude in 2002 from Emerson College with a BFA in Dance, with a minor in education. She was the President of the Emerson College Dance Company. Kim has traveled to Edinburgh, Scotland to perform aerial dance in the annual Fringe Festival. With over 25 years of teaching experience, she as well as her students, have won several high score prizes throughout the country as well as many choreography awards. Kim continues to enrich her dance education by taking dance classes, workshops and judging talent competitions. She is certified in Acrobatic Arts modules 1 & 2. She brings excitement and energy to every student when teaching her love of dance and acrobatics.

Jeannie Wozniak - Director
Jeannie graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2000 with a BS in Child and Family Studies. With a minor in Theatre and Dance. Throughout her college career she continued her dance training as a member of the dance team. She choreographed dance routines and competed in National College Dance Competitions. With over 20 years teaching experience, she continues her dance education by taking classes and workshops. Jeannie brings her passion to the studio through her enthusiam and love of dance.

Renae Maccioli-McLeod
Renae Maccioli-McLeod is a dedicated teacher with over 20 years of professional, performing and teaching experience. She holds a B.F.A. in Dance from The Boston Conservatory with formal training in ballet, modern, jazz, tap and modern pedagogy. Renae is a passionate teacher with a special flair for motivating her students. She has been on the faculty of several Ballet schools in the Boston area and in New York. Renae has also been a principal soloist with the Boston Dance Company, The Chambers Ballet Company and the American Dance Repertory Theatre. Renae's credits also include the Nutcracker, Pas de Quatre, Cinderella, Balanchine's Valse Fantaisie and Serenade and works by Anna Sokolow to mention a few. Renae brings a great deal of experience not only in ballet, but in many other forms of dance.

Paula Harvey
Paula Harvey has danced for many years and has a previous performance background with Kim and Jeannie. Paula is trained in Jazz, Lyrical Jazz, Hip Hop, Acrobatics and Fitness Dance. She was also a member of Jam'nastics and Emotion Dance Companies in Cambridge, MA. As a part of her years with Jam'nastics they travelled to the world famous Apollo Theater in Harlem, NY and won first place in Amateur Night. Her passion for dance continues as she now choreographs for Regional, National and International Fitness competitors and Champions. Paula also works for and is a Certified Baron Baptiste Yoga teacher in Brookline and Cambridge, MA. "I am very excited to get back to my dance roots and have fun with these students. I am going to push the envelope of expression and creation with them. My goal is to teach them that they can do anything if they put their mind and dancing body to it."

Lauren Norton
Lauren Norton is a graduate of Dean College with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance. Lauren's honors include acceptance into the Alvin Ailey School in NYC, soloist with the Dean Dance Company, and The Franklin Performing Arts Scholarship 2003. Lauren has trained with many artists such as, Missy Zimmer, Andrew Hubbard, and Denise Jefferson, as well as captured the attention of professional adjudicators across the country. She is a current member of the She-figured Dance Company. Lauren has been teaching for many years and has found the experience to be both enriching and honoring. Her students have competed both regionally and nationally, receiving many high score awards. She is currently continuing to expand her education in dance with master classes and is looking forward to a great year.

Erika Haydon
Erika Haydon holds many years of teaching experience and extensive knowledge in all forms of dance both at recreational and competitive levels. She holds a B.A. in Dance from Dean College, where she was a member of the Dean Dance Company for four years. She has also been certified by the prestigious Acrobatics Arts. Erika brings high energy, passion and creativity to all of her classes. Her choreography has been recognized and awarded on both regional and national levels. Most recently, she was awarded the Al Gilbert Tap Award. Erika continues to enrich her own dance education by taking intensive classes and attending conventions in both NYC and the New England area. Students of hers have gone on to achieve great success in many different facets of performing. She also helps Edge out with inspirational and informative social media content. Erika hopes through her love and knowledge of dance to motivate and inspire all of her students.

Kelly Spencer
Kelly Spencer is a graduate of Stonehill College. She has been trained in jazz, lyrical, tap, ballet, and acrobatics. Kelly has taught dance for a number of years to all ages. "I love being part of the Edge family. It has been such a fun, positive, and rewarding experience. Watching my students & my own daughter progress at Edge has given me such joy. Each week I get to see smiling faces looking up at me...priceless! " Kelly brings energy and passion to the studio, and loves to make her classes fun and educational. Kelly also plays a technical role at Edge by creating newsletter & social media content, and maintaining our website. She just embarked on her 14th year with Edge!

Alyssa Crane
Alyssa Crane is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a minor in Theatre and Dance. Dance has always been her passion. She danced competitively for many years, and was a member of the UNH Tap, Jazz, and Aerial Company, as well as Boston Community Dance Project where she danced under inspiring mentors and alongside talented performers. Alyssa has been employed by national dance competitions and conventions, and you may now catch her on the sidelines as she is a 4th year Line Captain of the New England Patriots Cheerleading team. Above all she loves being in the studio with her students who inspire her the most.

Tatum Mahoney
Tatum recently graduated from Dean College with a bachelor's degree in dance and a minor in psychology. She has trained in multiple styles such as ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary, acrobatics, and hip hop. She has been given multiple opportunities to train and work with artists such as Gregory King, Robbie Mulrey, Todd Shanks, and Rose Pasquarello Beauchamp.
Tatum has performed in many student choreographed shows within her four years at Dean and was also president of their hip hop team, Synergy. She was also a part of the jazz and modern companies. Although Tatum loves taking the stage, she loves to share her passion and knowledge with her students even more.

Melanie Cox
Melanie Cox is a graduate of Oklahoma City University where she earned her degree in Dance Performance. Melanie currently educates dancers at recreational and competitive levels and has taught movement and dance curriculum in Boston Public Schools as well as private institutions and studios, including Emerson College and The Boston Conservatory, Dexter Southfield, The Dance Inn, Joanne Langione Dance Center and her own studio, Dance Out. In 2014 she founded the organization Why We Dance which provides opportunity for students to give back through dance. Melanie is a versatile dancer and choreographer with training in multiple disciplines. She has performed with the New Jersey Tap Ensemble, The Robinson Ballet Company and has been a soloist with The American Spirit Dance Company participating in USO tours. Melanie performs in the Boston area and just finished a season with Sasso and Company.

Julie Daniels
Julie began her love affair with the performing arts after her first dance class at the age of four. She has been dancing for over 30 years, six of those years professionally. Julie attended Emerson College and graduated with a BFA in dance in 2002. She was awarded a scholarship from the Edge Performing Arts Center in Hollywood, CA, which prepares professionals in both commercial and concert dance. Julie studied with choreographers Tabitha and Napolean, Mandy
Moore, Helene Phillips, Dee Caspary, and J.T Horenstein. Julie has been a member of the Screen Actors Guild since 2004 and made appearances on Days of our Lives, VH1 Rock bodies, and American Dreams on ABC. After leaving Hollywood, Julie owned a Pilates studio for ten years. Wanting to get back into dance, Julie closed her studio to work for Club Pilates and join the Edge Studio of Dance faculty.
